Democrats United For Progress takes great pride in having helped the Democratic Party win big in the 2006 Midterm election!!!!!!!!!!

Two major fund raisers allowed Democrats United For Progress to make donations to the campaigns of Democrats in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties, elsewhere in the State of California and in other states. One fund raiser was a mailed appeal to all registered Democrats living in the area served by our Club, from Irish Beach to Timber Cove, including Annapolis. The other fund raiser was a comedy show, Stand Up And Be Counted, at the Gualala Arts Center on September 30, 2006. We thank all who contributed to these fund raisers and contributed in other ways to this victory. Here is a breakdown of our Club's donations and whether the candidate won or lost:

National Senate Races:
- Sherrod Brown - Ohio $ 350.00=won
- Harold Ford, Jr. - Tennessee $ 200.00=lost by 2%
- Bob Casey - Pennsylvania $ 200.00=won
- Jim Webb - Virginia $ 400.00=won by abt. 7,000 votes
- McCaskill - Missouri $ 300.00=won

National Congressional Races:
- McNerney - California $ 700.00=won
- Brown - California $ 350.00=lost by 3.4%
- Durston - California $ 300.00=lost by 21%
- Busby - California $ 200.00=lost by 10%
- Thompson - California $ 100.00=won
- Woolsey - California $ 100.00=won

State Races:
- Phil Angelides $ 300.00=lost
- Patty Berg - District #1 $ 100.00=won
- Pat Wiggins - District #2 $ 100.00=won
